Successful Conclusion of the TUM–NAU Smart Agriculture Seminar 2025

🌾 Successful Conclusion of the TUM–NAU Smart Agriculture Seminar 2025 🌾
On June 27, 2025, we successfully hosted the TUM–NAU Smart Agriculture Seminar, an international event jointly organized by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU).
The seminar focused on the theme:
Remote Sensing and Data-Driven Methods for Smart Agriculture 🚁🛰️
Held in-person at the TUM Dürnast Research Station, the seminar brought together researchers, students, and professionals to discuss cutting-edge developments including:
- UAV- and satellite-based monitoring of crop traits
- Machine learning for agricultural decision-making
- Modeling plant-soil interactions for precision farming
Throughout the day, speakers shared exciting research on topics such as SIF retrieval from aerial imaging sensors, evapotranspiration modeling, multi-source data fusion for maize lodging prediction, and advanced approaches to nitrogen and water management.
The lively presentations were followed by a stimulating discussion session — and we wrapped up the day with a relaxed BBQ and beer 🍻, fostering informal exchange and future collaborations.
A big thank you to all participants and special thanks to the guests from NAU and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for making this event possible.
